Die Kraft der Japa Mala – Meditation mit Gebetskette

The Power of Japa Mala – Meditation with Prayer Beads

The Japa Mala is much more than a string of 108 beads. It is a millennia-old tool of spiritual practice, deeply rooted in the Vedic tradition.

What is a Japa Mala?

Japa means "the quiet repetition" of a mantra. The mala – literally "garland" – is the physical support for this practice. Each bead marks a repetition. After 108 repetitions, a round is complete.

Why 108 beads?

The number 108 is considered sacred in Vedic mathematics. It connects cosmic proportions: the distance between the sun and earth is approximately 108 solar diameters. There are 108 Upanishads and 108 Marma points in Ayurveda.

Rudraksha – the seed of Shiva

Our Japa Malas are made from genuine Rudraksha seeds harvested on the Sida-Med Farm in the Kolli Hills, Tamil Nadu. Rudraksha means "tear of Shiva" and has been used for spiritual practice for millennia.
